“We hope this year will be bigger and better than last, and look forward to being involved with the event for years to come.”

David Martin-Jewell, Race Director said:

“We wanted to introduce an opportunity to involve businesses across South West Wales to take part in the JCP Swansea Half Marathon as a team. There has been some significant interest from local organisations that want to be a part of the event and race day experience. Running as a team can be extremely fun, and brings about some healthy competition between local businesses. It can also create a buzz between the workforce and contribute to staff morale in the lead up to the big day.”

Steve Cowman, Director at Nationwide Broker Services said:

“Not only are we delighted to be supporting Compare Insurance as participants in such a great challenge, but we are very proud to show our support for charities such as Cancer Research UK, BulliesOut and Wales Air Ambulance.

“We wish the Compare Insurance Team and each and every participant and contributor ourvery best wishes.”

The crowned Corporate Champions will be decided based upon the five fastest team members. The average time will be calculated between the first five runners to reach the finish line for each business. If Compare Insurance are named the winning corporate team, their selected charities will be presented with the Swansea Half Marathon prize fund. The charities the company has selected include Candy Free Kids: bringing together parents of children with Type 1 diabetes, Therapy for Swansea Kids: supporting children with conditions including Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and other physical/learning disabilities and The Paul Popham Fund: whose goal is to support all renal patients in Wales.
